Consider this, a zebra’s only job is to survive; protect self, protect family, protect territory, and procreate. Now consider this: the largest part of our brain functions like a zebra. Have you ever seen a family of zebras running around head-butting each other and then refusing to speak or having lengthy lectures when they’re done? No. That’s because zebras are updated to be present and do things with focus and purpose. To a zebra, if it’s not currently happening, it doesn’t exist.

At times there are many factors at play that cause family members to respond in ways that have been painful or disturbing to others. Using an attachment and trauma informed approach allows for things to be resolved, cleared, and updated at mind’s highest level to interact in a way that is possible and beneficial.

Benefits of family therapy include positive changes in family relationships, increased understanding, support, and communication, and to be more like a zebra.

Family therapy is useful to resolve the impact of:

  • Family Conflict
  • Emotional Challenges of Young Children
  • Behavioural Challenges of Young Children
  • Family Transitions
  • Separation
  • Divorce
  • Parenting Support
  • Trauma and more
